St. Cuthbert’s Annual Pet Service
4th Sunday in October
At a young Parishioners request, Fr Michael developed a Special Service after the 10am in October 2012 with a peaceful garden setting. Recognizing St Francis of Assisi – “Blessing of our Pets,” is now a regular event on the 4th Sunday in October, you can join Parishioners (outside) and bring your Pet for a Blessing and Certificate. Many cats and dogs, “Chops’ the Lamb features regularly and a few unusual pets have caught the Rector by surprise!
In 2017, the story of St Francis of Assisi featured in our evening Family Worship with games, a data projected Team Crossword puzzle and meal of Chicken and Salad with Sausages for those meat lovers….and appreciation to those wonderful cooks who supplied the delicious cakes and slices.
The Pets stayed at home this year, however Fr Alan Jarrad (Locum) was kind enough to led the Prayers for our beloved Pets:
